Heavy downpour of rain across Mumbai has let its change in scripting of Farhan Akhtar’s romantic thriller ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’. The unpredicted rain had really caused havoc as it stalled the shooting for many days. Finally, with no options left debutant Vijay Lalwani has polished the script in the backdrops of rain.

Says Vijay Lalwani: ‘Yes, it all happened with the unusual showers that became a terrifying constraint… normally, it doesn’t rain in October and we had predesigned the schedule with accordance to it. But then, scenarios were completely different as we unexpected…’

Since Vijay didn’t want to waste the call sheet of his actors, he instantaneously came up with a complete change in screenplay. So, what if rain stops now? ‘Not an issue at all. We’re already equipped with Rain Machine that’ll help us even if the showers stop altogether’ tots up the filmmaker.

‘Karthik Calling Karthik’ features Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The film is about a man who gets phone calls from himself, one never knows what to expect when the clock strikes five... and the phone rings. The film is slated to release on 12th February 2010.
