Jennifer Aniston receives 6th Emmy nomination

The Emmy Award nominations for 2009 have just been announced and Jennifer Aniston has earned a nomination in the category "Oustanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series" for her cameo appearance on 30 Rock. The episode from Season 3 which aired on November 13, 2008 was titled 'The One with the Cast of 'Night Court'' and featured Aniston playing the role of Claire, one of Liz's eccentric friends.
In the past, Aniston has been nominated five times for Friends, and won an Emmy in 2002 for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Friends.

For this latest nomination, Aniston is up against Tina Fey, Elaine Stritch, Betty White, Gena Rowlands and Christine Baranski. The 61st annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be broadcast from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 20 on CBS with Neil Patrick Harris as the host.
